Africa Street Youth Ministries

Africa Street Youth Ministries (ASYM) is an ELIM project founded in 2009 by Dr Farai Katiro (a graduate of ELIM Regents Theological College).

ASYM's aim is to meet the immediate and long term needs of street children in Africa by providing them with a home, education and work; all within the context of a loving, supportive Christian environment. We opened our first home for five children open in Mutare, Zimbabwe in 2011 and now have a farm (called 'Full Life Park') under development.

ASYM's purpose is summed up in the scripture, "That they may have life, and have it to the full; and many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord" [John 10 v10; Psalm 40 v3].

Bernee Clarke is the UK Treasurer, supporting the staff and volunteers in Zimbabwe to manage, develop and sustain the project; Pastor Andrew Taylor (New Life Church, Crewe) is also a UK Trustee. ELIM Zimbabwe representatives help govern the project locally.
