We thank those who choose to offer their tithes here at Nantwich Elim Church believing that it is part of their Christian worship to serve the Lord with their money. Jesus said we are to give to Caesar what is Caesar’s (pay our taxes) and to give to God what is His. Those who tithe, give one tenth of their income to God believing that the tithe is holy, belonging to God. (Ecclesiastes 5:10, 1 Tim 6:10, Deut 8:18, 1 Chroncicles 29:14, Mark 12:17). In these days tithing is a test of our faith but when we take this step this verse from Malachi 3:10 becomes our testimony;
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this”, says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not
have room enough for it.”
By tithing we acknowledge that Jesus is our Lord, it is a test of our faith and His faithfulness. By tithing we acknowledge that God is our true provider. Many Christians can testify that their nine tenths goes further with God’s blessing than ten tenths without it.
In addition to the tithes there are offerings which are like seeds we sow into the work of God. Jesus says;
“Give and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured
into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38
Our thanks again to those who in faith choose to make their offerings here at Nantwich Elim Church. We are committed to stewarding these resources for the growth of the Kingdom of God.
